Here we come 2026, get ready!

Well… we made it.
Christmas came and went in a blur of wrapping paper, leftovers, and that one white elephant gift you’re still not quite sure what to do with. The lights are mostly down, the tree may or may not still be standing, and there’s a very real chance you’re still finding tinsel in places it shouldn’t be.
If your holiday looked anything like mine, it included:
Buying too many gifts
Telling yourself you were definitely going to relax… and then not relaxing at all
And wondering how it’s possible for the house to get messy again five minutes after you clean it
But now we’re officially entering a new year — which means fresh starts, big plans, and everyone suddenly becoming an expert on resolutions.
Ah Yes… New Year’s Resolutions
Every January we all swear this is the year. You know the drill:
Eat better
Spend less
Get organized
Finally clean out that one room you pretend doesn’t exist
And by February… well… let’s just say intentions were good.
The truth is, a new year doesn’t magically fix everything — but it does give us a chance to reset, refocus, and maybe laugh at ourselves a little along the way. Whether that means tackling a new goal, making a big move, or simply trying not to buy storage bins you don’t actually need (again), progress is progress.
What the New Year Really Brings
Here’s what I know the new year will bring:
Michigan weather doing whatever it wants
At least one project that starts as “this will be easy” and absolutely is not
People saying “we should get together soon” (and meaning well)
And opportunities you didn’t see coming — some big, some small
It’s also a time when people start thinking about change. New homes. New spaces. Downsizing. Upsizing. Or just finally doing something they’ve been talking about for years. Those ideas don’t always turn into action right away — and that’s okay.
Here’s to the Year Ahead
If 2026 brings clarity, opportunity, and maybe a little less chaos — great. If it brings learning experiences and stories we’ll laugh about later — also great.
However your year unfolds, I hope it includes good people, solid plans, and moments that remind you not to take everything so seriously. And if one of your goals involves real estate, making a move, or just having a conversation about what’s next — you know where to find me.
Happy New Year, Jesse
